The External Outreach Lead will support the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT)’s Office of Public Engagement (OPE) in its mission to create and coordinate opportunities for direct dialogue between the Administration and the American public, with a special focus on engagement around the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). The role is a temporary assignment that requires the incumbent to leverage existing relationships with external stakeholders and the philanthropic community and build new connections to key transportation, climate, and equity funders in the United States to expand the impact of DOT programs.
