PHMSA issued a Request for Information and Sources Sought for the development of an interactive, virtual LNG plant training platform. The platform would let safety inspectors perform virtual plant walkdowns, review piping and instrumentation diagrams, and visualize internal process flows using 3D and digital twin technologies. PHMSA seeks vendor input on company qualifications, technical capabilities, COTS components, curriculum design, cybersecurity/cloud deployment, intellectual property, past performance, and rough order of magnitude pricing. Respondents are asked to provide non-binding estimates of typical development timelines and pricing models for a platform with 5–10 high-complexity modules. This RFI is for market research and acquisition planning only; no RFP has been issued, and PHMSA may invite selected vendors for demonstrations.
