Full Scale Vehicle Crashworthiness Testing and Side Air Bag Out-of-Position Testing for the New Car Assessment Program (NCAP)
NHTSA is seeking responses from qualified small business concerns—including SB, SDB, 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, and WOSB—capable of providing full-scale vehicle crashworthiness testing and side air bag out-of-position testing for the New Car Assessment Program (NCAP). Interested firms should demonstrate the appropriate NAICS code and past experience through corporate capability statements. This is a sources-sought market research action; NHTSA will not award a contract based on responses, pay for information, acknowledge receipt, or formally evaluate responses, but may later issue an RFP. The work includes inspection, testing, and reporting for NCAP and related crashworthiness, crash avoidance, rollover, air bag out-of-position, tire, FMVSS, future technology, dummy/child restraint, and vehicle safety defect research efforts. The contractor must provide all necessary equipment, personnel, facilities, and workflow management identified in the draft Statement of Work.
