Experimental and Mathematical Biomechanics Injury Research IDIQ
NHTSA seeks an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to support its Experimental and Mathematical Biomechanics Injury Research (EMBIR) program. The contract will enable Task Orders for specialized research, analysis, and technical support related to human injury mechanisms and prevention in motor vehicle crashes. Work will span four research domains: experimental biomechanics, Anthropomorphic Test Device (ATD) support, computational modeling, and crash/injury data analysis. Specific activities include physical injury tolerance testing, ATD development and assessment, finite element modeling for crash simulation, and analysis of real-world crash data with possible AI/machine learning applications. This opportunity is suited for contractors capable of providing broad biomechanics and vehicle safety research services under an IDIQ structure.
