New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) Pedestrian Impact Testing
NHTSA’s New Car Assessment Program requires pedestrian protection impact testing on production motor vehicles, including test-procedure evaluation, impactor qualification, and headform, Flex-PLI, and upper-legform tests, with optional cyclist/aPLI testing. The contract will be a multiple-award IDIQ with firm-fixed-price task orders. The period of performance consists of five 12-month ordering periods, plus options to extend services and increase quantity. Testing will be performed at the contractor’s test facility. Award will be based on best-value tradeoff, with technical factors more important than price.
