These crash investigations involve a range of crash types and include vehicles equipped with crash avoidance technologies [commonly referred to as Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) or Advanced Driver Systems (ADS)], self-driving/autonomous automated vehicles, new and emerging safety technologies, safety defects.
