The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) intends to negotiate with Crash Data Group as a non-competitive, sole source contract for Hyundai/Kia EDR DLC Kit. This includes the purchase of the Bosch Crash Data Retrieval Tool (CDR), including units, accessories and software; an EDR Hardware Kit for Tesla vehicles with genuine Tesla in-car and direct-to-module cables, as well as the Hyundai EDR Tool Kit and Kia EDR Tool Kit, along with direct-to-module cables, power, and adapters. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) mission is to save lives, prevent injuries and reduce economic costs due to road traffic crashes, through education, research, safety standards and enforcement activity. The GIT Hyundai Kia EDR DLC kits and D2M cables are the only way to access EDR information for Hyundai and Kia vehicles. Accessibility to these vehicle EDR modules will ensure completion of more comprehensive crash reconstructions for CIREN investigations. Additionally, the new GM ACM cables will ensure that we can acquire EDR data from newer GM products as they continue to enter the fleet.
