The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) intends to negotiate with National Training Institute on Race and Equity Corp. as a follow-on, non-competitive, sole source contract for IB 201 training course work on implicit bias training and educating NHTSA staff in support of recently signed Presidential Executive Orders calling for racial equity. In August and September of 2021 NHTSA conducted initial training of its staff and managers on IB 101 Implicit (i.e. Unconscious) Bias Awareness Training and is following up with additional and IB 201 Implicit Bias Mitigation Training to assist managers and staff and builds upon IB 101 toward placing emphasis on unconscious employee and organizational biases within NHTSA.
