Investigating Aftermarket Technologies to Improve Locomotive Efficiency
The Federal Railroad Administration intends to award a purchase order for commercial research and development services to investigate the efficacy of aftermarket technologies for improving locomotive efficiency. The work will support the Office of Research, Data, and Innovation under a Performance Work Statement. The total estimated value of the purchase order is $350,000. The acquisition is set up as a combined synopsis/solicitation, and the government plans to make a best-value award based on qualified quotations.
