The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is seeking an instructor for an agency developed course, Innovative & Exceptional Partnerships (IEP). The Partnerships course is typically held in person bi-annually but was postponed in 2020. FHWA is now planning to offer this course virtually. The purpose of this course is to provide an opportunity for current Division Administrators and aspiring Division Administrators to dialogue, receive feedback, ask questions and sharpen tools related to building effective partnerships with their State CEOs. This course is different from any other FHWA courses in that the course is co-facilitated by a past State CEO. We also invite both the Executive Director and a current Industry Executive to serve as guest speakers. The agenda for this course will be held over 5 days in 2-4 hour blocks. The shorter days are planned for Monday and Friday with the bulk of information being facilitated during (Tues-Thursday). The course will include a panel of State CEOs and Division Administrators who share current best practices of partnership between FHWA and State DOTs, a review of case studies of past/existing challenges between partners and a self-assessment. The self-assessment portion of the course will be managed internally by FHWA staff. Please send all questions and quotes to ashley.cucchiarelli@dot.gov.
