FHWA is conducting a market survey to identify potential sources for anticipated contracts/task orders providing Technical Support Services for the Office of Safety and Operations Research & Development at the Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center in McLean, VA. The notice seeks planning information on qualified sources’ availability and capability to perform all or some of the work and their size classification under the relevant NAICS code. The work aims to support research into why traffic crashes occur, factors influencing injury severity, and operational conditions affecting overall safety performance. It will advance science- and data-driven countermeasures addressing crash causes, including operational practices and emerging vehicle automation technologies to enhance safety and reduce crash risk.
