The Maritime Administration (MARAD) seeks a qualified and experienced contractor to provide labor, material, transportation, tools, equipment, and supervision to clear the catch basin outside of Gibbs & Wiley Hall buildings and repair the main line blockage at Brooks Field on the campus of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy located in Kings Point, NY. Please review the uploaded documents in the attachment/link section. Interested offerors shall submit questions/comments and proposal packages via e-mail to USMMAProposals@dot.gov. SOLICITATION AMENDMENT(S) AMENDMENT 0001 INFO - The purpose of the amendment is to provide response to questions/comments and Site Visit Information. Question 1) What is the size of the pipe underground that needs repair? Response: The size of the pipe is estimated to be 6”. Question 2) Please confirm whether the Government will escort individuals during inspections the inspections? Response: During the site visit, the USMMA POC will escort interested offerors and address other concerns about the requirement. Question 3) Can a site visit be set up for this requirement? Response: Interested offerors are urged to attend the site visit. The site visit schedule and information are posted under the AMENDMENT 0001 INFO section. Question 4) What is the magnitude of construction range for the Catch Basin & Main line repair requirement? Response: In accordance with FAR 36.204, the estimated magnitude of construction is between $25,000 and $100,000. Site Visit Schedule Date: Wednesday, 2/01/2023 Time: 1:30pm Location: USMMA 300 Steamboat Road Kings Point, NY 11024 Site Visit POC: Matthew Quinn (Correction) Note: Interested offerors that plan to attend the site are advised to forward an e-mail to Matthew Quinn at quinnm@usmma.edu and copy USMMAProposals@dot.gov. Interested offerors must present identification at the Front Guard Entrance Booth (Guard Shack). The site visit POC will meet offerors at or near the guard shack. Offerors that attend the site must adhere to USMMA regulations regarding COVID-19.
