The project consists of the rehabilitation and resurfacing of approximately 7.7 miles of Laurel Creek Road, 0.8 miles of Townsend Entrance Road, and 2.0 miles of Tremont Road, including numerous parking areas and pull-offs, all within the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The work includes asphalt pavement milling, crack cleaning and sealing, asphalt concrete pavement overlay, shoulder reconditioning, traffic detector loop and permanent sign replacement, and other miscellaneous work. The project will be split into multiple work schedules/contract options, with the cost of the entire project expected to fall within the price range of $2,000,000 to $5,000,000.
