This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION (CS/S) for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This solicitation is advertised on a sole source basis to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) in accordance with FAR 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items. The Justification and Approval is attached to this solicitation. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS CS/S WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. This CS/S SHALL be posted to beta.SAM.gov. NOTE: FBO.gov has been moved to https://beta.sam.gov/ The RFQ number is 6933A221Q0000013. This CS/S documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC number 2021-05 effective 3/10/2021. It is the responsibility of the contractor to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The NAICS code is 333618, SIC code 3519 and the Small Business Standard is 1500 employees. The U.S. Department of Transportation, Maritime Administration (MARAD), Norfolk, VA is soliciting from the OEM, ABB Inc., for replacement parts for the TSSOM service diesel generator engine turbochargers. The engines are MaK Model 6M332 and the turbochargers are ABB type RR212-8H R. Serial numbers for the 3 turbochargers are: 373743, 373744, 373745.
