This is a notice of intent to a... Maritime Administration (MARAD) NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. It is published for informational purposes only. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract under statutory authority 10 USC 2304(c)(1), set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. MARAD intends to award a sole source contract to the Electrical Equipment Co., 3798 Village Ave. Norfolk VA. 23502-5060 which is the only known authorized distributor in the region for the original equipment manufacturer of the required high voltage parts. No responses to the notice of intent to this sole source are anticipated. Delivery is to be within 120 days after award. A prior purchase order for the same equipment from the same vendor in FY18 further supports the sole source determination. See the attached Justification and Approval for Other Than Full and Open Competition for additional information regarding this sole source determination. Though no responses to the notice of intent to this sole source are anticipated, any potential respondent must provide evidence showing their capability to provide and perform the required supply and services.
