The U.S. Maritime Administration (MARAD), Norfolk, VA intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order for Potential Offeror/Contractor to provide all labor and materials to accomplish various inspections and tests to numerous life boats, a rescue boat and davits in accordance with all applicable U.S. Coast Guard regulations and American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) rules onboard Training Ship KENNEDY located at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, 101 Academy Drive, Buzzards Bay, MA 02532, in accordance with the Statement of Work. The requested period of performance is on or about August 10, 2020 with completion by September 19, 2020. NOTE: Due to COVID-19, all personnel are required to provide their own personal protective equipment and practice social distancing whenever possible while performing their services. All questions should be submitted in writing via e-mail to the Contracting Officer, monique.leake@dot.gov as soon as possible, but no later than Friday, July 24, 2020 with the solicitation number 6933A220Q000026 in the subject line. Responses to questions will be issued by amendment to the solicitation package. Failure of a prospective quoter to submit any questions will be construed to mean that the quoter fully understands all requirements of the solicitation. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs). The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts. Maximum line of credit is $750,000 with interest at the prime rate, as published daily in the Wall Street Journal, plus 1.75 percent.
