This is not a request for quote, proposal or an invitation for bid. The intent of this pre-solicitation synopsis is to notify potential quoters of a solicitation for the dry-dock and repairs of TD-207 located at the James River Reserve Fleet, 2606 Harrison Road, Fort Eustis, VA. The proposed action will result in a firm fixed priced purchase order for the Maritime Administration (MARAD), Norfolk, VA. MARAD is seeking to identify small business firms within a 50-mile radius whom are capable of providing routine dry-dock services and repairs as identified in the statement of work which will be issued as an integral part of the solicitation. This procurement will be released as a total small business set-aside with a period of performance completion timeframe of 60 days after receipt of order. A site visit will be required and date will be included in the solicitation. The solicitation will be issued as an RFQ and will be posted to the Fed Biz Ops website (https://www.fbo.gov/) electronically on 1 April 2019 under solicitation number 6933A219Q000009. NO HARD COPIES will be provided and NO TELEPHONE inquiries will be accepted. The solicitation must be downloaded from the FBO website. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates or amendments to any and all documents. Questions received in response to this solicitation will be answered via amendment and posted to the Fed Biz Ops website. All responsible small business sources may submit a response to the Government's RFQ and all quoters that are deemed responsible and conforming to the requirements set forth in the solicitation, will be considered by this agency. All quoters interested in submitting a quote on this solicitation must (at the time of their submission) be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at website https://www.sam.gov/portal/SAM/#1#1.
