1. Introduction The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airport Safety Research and Development (R&D) Section (ANG-E261) is inquiring to procure a customized aircraft rescue firefighting (ARFF) vehicle for research objectives. 2. Incumbent Contractor There is no incumbent contractor for this procurement. 3. Nature of Competition The acquisition strategy for the procurement has not been determined at this time; however, either an unrestricted competition, set-aside, or noncompetitive award may be chosen depending on the responses to the market survey. 4. General Information This is not a Screening Information Request or Request for Proposals of any kind; The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals; The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to the market survey; and Any costs associated with the market survey submittal is solely at the interested vendor’s expense 5. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code NAICS Code is 336120- Heavy Duty Truck Manufacturing with a size standard of 1,500 employees. 6. Submittal Requirements Interested companies must provide the following information: Capability Statement showing capability to perform the requirements in the attached Draft Statement of Work; Examples of previous contracts, agreements, or completed commercial projects, showing experience building similar vehicles. Business Size (Large or Small). If small please indicate if your firm is A Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Small Business (8(a) Certified), Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Historically Underutilized Business Zone Small Business, Women Owned Small Business, and/or Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business The submitted Capability Statement is LIMITED TO 7 PAGES and must be presented in Microsoft word in size 12 Times New Roman text. 7.
