In accordance with Section 3.2.2.4 of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Acquisition Management System (AMS), the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the FAA’s decision to use brand name only, limited competition procedures for a software requirement, and to invite vendors to receive a Request for Quote (RFQ). This notification covers the Purchase Order for the enterprise license that will be ordered under this procurement. The FAA intends to compete the requirement for an Enterprise License for Hilgraeve HyperTerminal Private Edition on a limited basis among Hilgraeve, any authorized vendors that request an RFQ pursuant to this announcement, and the following companies that have been provided directly by Hilgraeve as authorized vendors: SHI International Corp. Insight Enterprises, Inc. SoftwareOne, Inc. The above vendors, and any other vendor that is an authorized re-seller of Hilgraeve software that notifies the FAA that it wishes to participate, will be sent an RFQ upon the posting of this announcement with a response. Award will be based on the lowest price, technically acceptable quote. The award resulting from this request will be a Purchase Order (PO), to be utilized by the FAA and the Department of Transportation (DOT). The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. The FAA is not liable for any costs associated with the preparing of a response to this announcement.
