This announcement is being updated to attach Amendment 0003. Amendment 0003 provides answers to submitted questions and a correction to a FAA response on question in Amendment 0002. This announcement is being updated to attach Amendments 0001 and 0002. Amendment 0001 provides clarification on responsibilities of the FAA and vendor regarding obtaining certifications. Amendment 0002 provides responses to submitted questions. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking airport operators willing to host a portion of the FAA’s Airport Unmanned Aircraft System(s) (UAS) Detection and Mitigation Research Program The FAA anticipates selecting four (4) airport operators. Each selected airport operator will be required to enter into a Firm-Fixed-Price Agreement with the FAA. Questions and comments that arise from this solicitation should be submitted via e-mail by 5:00 P.M. EST, October 8, 2020. Responses must be submitted by 5:00 P.M. EST, October 22, 2020 in accordance with the attached document titled “692M15-20-R-00028 Solicitation for Airport Operators Interested in Hosting FAA UAS Detection and Mitigation Research Program.” The announcement number for the naming convention for files is: 692M15-20-R-00028. Responses to this solicitation reflect an expression of interest only and do not commit the FAA or the airport operator. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing responses to this solicitation. Therefore, any cost associated with the solicitation is solely at the interested airport operator’s expense.
