The Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporatoin (SLSDC) is soliciting bids to replace and install steel gratings that cover the bulkhead slots at both Eisenhower Lock and Snell Lock located in Massena, New York. The work includes replacing existing culvert valve bulkhead recess steel gratings with new AASHTO H-20 rated gratings. This work will require modifying the grating seat at the recess opening edges to accommodate the required deeper grating section. All work for this project shall be completed no later than November 30th, 2019. The period of work for this project will coincide with the Seaway Navigation Season. The contractor will have to tailor their work plan so as to not interfere with shipping operations at both lock facilities. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) package, to include detailed drawing of the gratings, bulkhead slots, and applicable references drawings wil be released on or about June 7th, 2019. The anticipated bid opening is July 12th, 2019 at 1:00 PM Eastern Time. The estimated cost range for this project is betwween $100,000 and $250,000. The applicable NAICS coade is 237990, and the size standard is $36.5 million. This is a total small business set aside procurement.
