Introduction: This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts or request for quotations. The Great Lakes St. Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation (GLS) is conducting market research to identify potential sources for an anticipated contract for Industrial Fire Resistant (FR) Uniforms and Laundering Services. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information, for planning purposes, regarding the availability and capability of qualified sources. The purpose of this notice is to obtain the following information: 1. Determine what sources exist that are capable of satisfying the Government’s requirement, 2. Determine the capability of potential contractors, 3. Determine the size and status of potential sources under NAICS 812332 – Industrial Launderers, and 4. Determine the level of competition. 3. Requirement Description: The Great Lakes St. Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation (GLS) is a wholly owned U.S. Government corporation within the U.S. Department of Transportation which owns and operates that portion of the St. Lawrence Seaway in U.S. territorial waters between Lake Ontario and Montreal, Quebec. GLS is seeking sources for a contractor to provide industrial fire-resistant uniforms to an estimated 80 employees. The contractor will be required to furnish, launder, repair, replace, and deliver uniforms on a weekly basis in Massena, NY. 4. Response: Interested firms shall submit the following: 1. Name of Company; Company Address; Point of Contact, with Name, Phone Number and Email; Unique Entity Identification Number (UEI), CAGE Code, and Socio-Economic Size Status under NAICS Code 812332 (Large/Small Business/HubZone/8(a)/Woman Owned Small Business/Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business/etc.) 2. Provide a capability statement that lists three projects similar in scope, completed in the last 3 years. These projects may include Uniform and Laundering Services for entities outside of the federal government. Brief descriptions of the relevant projects shall be provided along with contact references for each project. (Not to exceed 3 pages). 3. Respond via e-mail to chora.snyder@dot.gov. Verbal questions will not be accepted and GLS will respond to written questions at its discretion. All communications must be sent via email to chora.snyder@dot.gov. Respondents to this notice should not anticipate feedback with regards to their submission other than acknowledgement of receipt. GLS reserves the right to review late submissions but makes no guarantee that they will be reviewed. Results of this Notice will not be provided.
