The Great Lakes St. Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation has been tasked to solicit and award construction services at Eisenhower and Snell Lock. The scope of work is to include the removal of existing dewatering pit pumps and install new dewatering pit pumps, one (1) at each lock. The furnishing of three (3) hatch cover sills at each lock, hatch cover sill concrete work, plumbing/pipefitting, and electrical wiring is also to be included in the scope of work at each location. The proposed project will be a Firm-Fixed-price (FFP) contract procured in accordance with FAR 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures. The scope includes furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, materials, and performance of all work to remove existing and install new dewatering pit pumps, hatch cover sills, and concrete work. The government has procured select materials for this project and will provide a bill of materials in the solicitation. Pursuant to FAR 36.204, the magnitude of construction is between $100,000 and $250,000. Additional information in accordance with the Statement of Work will be included in the Request for Quote (RFQ) package. It is anticipated that the RFQ will be released on or about 31 May 2022 with quotes due on or about 30 June 2022.
