The Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation (SLSDC) is soliciting bids to Furnish all plant, labor, equipment, and materials, and perform all work to replace existing shore power distribution system equipment with new at the Maintenance Base in Massena, New York. The project consists of the removal and disposal of existing shore power pedestals, conduit, wiring and site spoils. It will require furnishing and installing new shore power pedestals to include equipment, conduit, wiring, trenching and site restoration. It will include electrical upgrades at Maintenance Base. Prospective bidders are required to attend one site visit. One will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 09, 2021 and the second at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 14, 2021. The estimated cost range is between $100,000 and $250,000. This is a total small business set-aside. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation. NAICS Code: 238210, Size Standard: $16.5M. Firms must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov to be eligible for award. The IFB package is attached as a pdf document and has a response date of September 27, 2021. On 09/22/2021 this solicitation was amended to add the pdf attachment “Electric Manhole Detail” for electric manhole requirements. It also provides the following clarifications: 1. Clarification – Drawing SLS-340-93/4. The pole mounted light fixtures shall be RAB LROAD RWLLED4T125/480, or equal. 2. Drawing SLS-340-93/7, contractor shall provide grounding for each of the three pedestals. Provide two ground rods, one on both sides of each pedestal. Provide 1/0 awg grounding conductor, fasten to pedestal aluminum plate.
