The Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation (SLSDC) will be soliciting an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for the removal of existing, and installation of new SLSDC provided dewatering pit pumps at both Eisenhower and Snell Locks in Massena, New York. This scope of work includes but is not limited to: installation, wiring, and plumbing at both pumps. The new pumps are 40 horsepower turbine style with 8” suction & discharge, and a total weight of approximately 2,676 pounds each. The overall height of each pump is approximately 5ft above mounting flange including motor, and suction column length below flange is approximately 49 feet 8 inches. The scope of work will also include a new concrete cover and cover sill installation, as well as pit cleaning at both locks’ dewatering pits. Underwater dive work may be required to complete this scope of work. The solicitation for this IFB will be released on or about August 11, 2020 with a response date of September 10, 2020. The cost range is estimated to be between $100,000 and $500,000. This is a total small business set-aside procurement.
