The Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation (SLSDC) will be soliciting an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for a dredging project in the Wiley-Dondero Canal to accommodate the increased draft for vessels. The SLSDC plans to deepen the mooring areas at the Eisenhower Lock spare gate assembly area near 190A Barnhart Island Road, Massena, New York and at the SLSDC Marine Base near 251 Fregoe Road, Massena, New York. These areas are located outside of the navigation channel boundaries between and Eisenhower and Snell Locks. This work will comprise of the removal of up to approximately 5-feet of river bottom sediment at these locations. The dredged material will be placed in an adjacent on-land disposal site owned by SLSDC in the vicinity of the Wiley-Dondero Canal. SLSDC intends to award to this solicitation on or about June 25, 2020. The cost range is estimated to be between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This is a total small business set-aside procurement. Applicable NAICS code is 237990 with a size standard of $30,000,000. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Saint Lawrence Seaway.
