Purpose: This is a request for information for identifying potential sources for an existing requirement. The Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation (SLSDC) intends, at a future date, to solicit proposals from GSA Schedule Holders for Materials and Waste Recycling and Disposal Services. The primary goal of this acquisition will be to establish services that will facilitate the sampling, testing, pumping, transport and disposal and/or recycling hazardous, universal and non-hazardous solid and liquid wastes, such as solvents, paints, and waste blast grit, asbestos-containing wastes, used oil, used absorbents, PPE and antifreeze. Background: The Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation (SLSDC) is a wholly owned U.S. Government Corporation within the U.S. Department of Transportation which owns and operates that portion of the Saint Lawrence Seaway in U.S. territorial waters between Lake Ontario and Montreal, Canada. The SLSDC's mission is to facilitate the safe and efficient passage of commercial vessels through the Seaway. Submission: All interested vendors who may wish to participate must submit the required information via e-mail to: jason.brockway@dot.gov no later than August 5th, 2019, 4:30 pm EST. Responses should be in the form of an attached pdf file or word document no longer than ten (10) pages with type face no smaller than twelve (12) point. The response must include the name of the firm which the respondent represents and appropriate contact information. The e-mail subject must contain this RFI number in the subject line. Each respondent shall identify its business size and each socioeconomic status available. The SLSDC would like information and comments on the following: 1. Please email a capability statement. 2. Provide your company name, point of contact. 3. Please provide contract number, and dollar amount for the most similar contract your firm has managed. 4. A brief description of your approach/capabilities that relate to this potential requirement and cost estimates. Questions regarding this announcement shall be submitted in writing by e-mail to jason.brockway@dot.gov. Verbal questions will not be accepted and the SLSDC will respond to questions at its discretion. Any and all communications will be sent via email and shall not contain proprietary information. All questions shall be submitted prior to August 1st 2019, 4:30 pm EST. Vendors who respond to this RFI should not anticipate feedback with regards to their submission other than acknowledgement of receipt. The SLSDC reserves the right to review late submissions but makes no guarantee that they will be reviewed. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes; it does not constitute a Request for Quotation (RFQ) or a promise to issue an RFQ. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay any cost incurred in response to this RFI. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the responding party's expense.
