The Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation (SLSDC) is soliciting bids to remove and replace railings at Eisenhower and Snell Locks in conjunction with furnishing and installing new guardrailing at each lock. Each lock will be actively engaged in its primary mission of assisting ships in navigation of the seaway during construction. The work will include furnishing and installing hand railing, access gates, and man gates as well as removing and replacing existing railing. The SLSDC estimates approximately 3,500 linear feet of railing will be installed in this project scope, to include all appurtenances and hardware required for a complete and functioning guardrail system. Additionally, approximately 200 linear feet of existing guardrailing will be removed to make way for the new railing. Estimated time for completion is December 13, 2019. The IFB will be released on or about August 23, 2019 with a response date of on or about September 23, 2019. Prospective bidders are highly encouraged to attend a site visit tentatively scheduled for September 10, 2019 at 1:00 PM ET. The project cost range is estimated to be between $100,000 and $250,000. This is a total small business set-aside. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation.
