The purpose of this market survey is to support the FAA requirement to replace the current Radio Communications Equipment’s (RCE’s) Centralized Maintenance System’s (CMS’s) Communication Server Interface Unit (CSIU). The FAA requires a quantity of 168 RCE CMS CSIU Units to perform a technical refresh of the 25-year-old Radio Control Equipment (RCE) Centralized Maintenance System (CMS) installed in the National Airspace System (NAS). The current RCE CMS CSIU is obsolete. The RCE CMS CSIU replacement unit must meet the following operational requirements: Each unit should include an interface standard that uses higher voltage levels in excess of 5 VDC magnitude in support of the RS-232 interface specification. Provides RS-232 signaling in excess of +8.3 VDC magnitude when driving 8 receivers simultaneously at only 9600 bits per second (bps) The purpose of this market survey is to solicit statements of interest and capabilities from vendors who are interested in and can show capability of meeting requirements as noted in this market survey.
