The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Western Federal Lands (WFL) intends to issue a Request For Quote for a firm-fixed price commercial items services purchase order for Geotechnical Investigation (Drilling) services, located in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. The geotechnical subsurface investigation is on the Northeast Entrance Road in support for replacement of the Yellowstone River Bridge. The project is comprised of a base item consisting of four borings. The purpose of the borings is to investigate subsurface conditions correlating to an optional bridge replacement design. The NAICS code is 238910. The basis of award is utilizing FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation - Commercial Items, Technical Approach and Past Experience, when combined, are significantly less important than Price. The price must be determined fair and reasonable and the offeror must be determined responsible pursuant to FAR subpart 9.1. All offerors are required to submit a quote using a SF 1449, and providing the information required from the "Instructions, Conditions, and Notices to Offeror and Respondents" section of the request for quotation. All responses from responsible offerors, received before the due date and time, shall be considered by the agency.
