FAA intends to award only one contract. The FAA intends to implement a test and demonstration satellite network utilizing Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) technology to study the feasibility of utilizing COTS VSAT technology as one of the National Air Space (NAS) telecommunication technologies. The test and demonstration network will provide Ku band VSAT service at up to ten (10) locations within CONUS and Alaska. The Contractor must provide the following items: VSAT remote terminal hardware kit as specified in Attachment J-1, VSAT Remote Hardware Kit Specifications Shared Hub Services as specified in Attachment J-2, VSAT Service Specifications Program Management Help Desk and Installation Support Installation and Operations Training
