The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred associated with the preparation or in response to this market survey. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Western Service Area has a requirement for the installation of underground conduit in support of the Runway 27 Medium Approach Lighting System (SAN-MALS) Replacement Project at San Diego International Airport, in San Diego, CA. The Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to: A. Install conduits utilizing HDD under the airport access road and Taxiway B as shown on drawing SAN�D�MALS27�1X. The length of the bore is approximately 704 feet. B. The directional bore shall include installation of eleven (11) 3� diameter High�Density Polyethylene (HDPE) conduits, schedule 80 or SDR11, installed nominally 7 feet below existing grade. C. The directional boring run shall include a #6 bare copper tracer for future locating of the buried conduit. D. HDPE conduit shall be smooth inside, and smooth outside. E. Ends of conduits shall be kept sealed at all times to prevent intrusion of dirt and/or water. F. Install 4’ x 4’ handholes (GFM) at both ends of the bore in the locations shown on drawing SAN�D�MALS27�1X. Note that one handole is air�craft rated and one is traffic�rated. Extend conduits into the handholes [conduit bell end and handhole finish work (i.e. � grounding, rack installation, etc.) will be done by others]. Installation of the underground conduit must be completed within 14 calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed (NTP). The estimated price range for this procurement is between $50,000 and $100,000 Refer to the attached Project Specifications for a detailed description of the requirement.
