The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for Slip-Ring Assemblies for use in the Terminal Doppler Weather Radar (TDWR) in accordance with the attached draft Statement of Work (SOW) and Drawings. However, interested respondents are cautioned that the Government at its discretion may update and/or revise this SOW for any potential contract. The period of performance is anticipated to begin in 2019. At this time, the nature of the competition has not been determined. The FAA may decide to do a full and open competition or set aside all or part of the procurement for small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or eligible socially and economically disadvantaged businesses that are certified by the SBA for participation in the SBA’s 8(a) Program. The responses to this market survey are for informational purposes only. (a) This is not a Screening Information Request or Request for Proposals of any kind; (b) The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals; (c) The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to the market survey; and (d) Any costs associated with the market survey submittal is solely at the interested vendor’s expense North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code The principle NAICS code for this requirement is 339999 with a Size Standard of 500. The purpose of this market survey is to solicit statements of interest and capabilities from small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, 8(a) certified firms, and all other business types and sizes, capable of providing the requirement described in the attached SOW. Interested companies must submit the following to the point of contact listed at the bottom of this announcement. This is only a request for general information. Excessive submissions are not desired. (a) Capability Statement (5 page limit): Submit a brief summary of your firm’s capability in meeting the FAA’s requirements as described in the attached Draft SOW. Please include the following: a. Corporate capabilities b. Strategy for accomplishing this work, including the percentage of work that will be done by eligible small, service-disabled veteran-owned and 8(a) certified businesses. c. Relevant corporate experience with this type of work d. Size and type of same or similar services/supplies provided by previous contracts (provide detailed information and past performance) e. Number of years in business f. Anticipated teaming or sub-contractor agreements g. Comments on requirements per the Draft SOW h.
