NOTICE OF DECISION TO CONTRACT WITH A SINGLE SOURCE: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, intends to award to a single source contract to 3D Perception, Inc. to provide a new 3D Visual Display System for the Very Light-Jet to support the visual displays of the Flight Deck Human factors Cockpit. The single source vendor is the only known source available that can deliver and support the vital research of the FAA Human Factor Flight Deck Laboratory. In addition, the equipment must be able to interface with the current equipment and will facilitate studies on the newly purchased, Technically Advanced General Aviation Research Simulator expected delivery fall of 2019. Purpose of the Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) Policy 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA’s decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures.
