Introduction: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking interested sources for an HVAC Upgrades Project. This market survey is issued, in accordance with FAA Acquisition Managements System (AMS) paragraph 3.2.1.2.1 to solicit statements of interest and capabilities from all business types and sizes, capable of performing work outlined, to assist with acquisition strategy development and to gain a better understanding of the commercial marketplace. Summary of Work: a) Install two split-system air conditioning units to provide cooling to FAA equipment room and flight services operations areas. b) Relocate humidifier in operations area to serve electronics equipment room. Remove integrated furnace humidifier. c) Demolish and replace natural gas piping in the facility. d) Demolish existing combined exhaust air ductwork serving kitchen and upstairs bathroom. Replace with new dedicated exhaust air ducts for each space. e) Replace existing plumbing vent carrier pipe with new pipe. Provide foam insulation in interstitial space and incorporate passive plumbing vent defroster. Provide new weather tight roofing boot. NOTE: Existing Facility Operations: Barrow FSS provides essential air traffic control services to the flying public. The contractor shall plan and coordinate all construction activities with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) so as not to interfere with functions of the FSS and maintain operatiuonal integrity of the National Airspace System (NAS).
