As a result of the COYID-19 pandemic, one of two St. Lawrence Seaway development Corporation Waste and Water Operator's is not available to work and is expected to be unavailable for an extended period of time. This results in no redundancy for coverage if the only other SLSDC Operator becomes unavailable. A lack of continuity for these operations could cause financial harm to the government in Federal and State Regulations governing the safe operation of waste and water treatment systems. It could also lead to lead to contaminated and unsafe water sources putting the health and wellbeing of government employees at risk.
