This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD a Federal Supply Schedule Order for an item peculiar to one manufacturer under the authority of the Multiple-Award Schedule Program pursuant to FAR Parts 8.402 and 8.405-6. The government intends to award an order for a quantity of 350 Adjustable LED Sights; Manufacturer: Trijicon / Model: 3.25 Adj Red RMR Type 2 / Model Nbr: RM06-C-700688 / Material Nbr: 700688 (Brand Name Only) under a GSA schedule subject to a Small Business Set-Aside and open market pricing. This requirement is in support of the necessary operations of the Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation (CI) mission related to protection and safety of personnel in the performance of law enforcement operations. Specified product selected as standard duty equipment for criminal investigation field personnel based on close coordination with the National Criminal Investigation Training Academy (NCITA) and CI field offices in determination of the best equipment needed to meet operational needs and protection/safety of personnel. Specified equipment is unique to operations based on maintaining/leveraging consistency and standardization related to training, reliability and maintenance. Maintaining a stable reliable environment supported by a trained and experienced staff is a major consideration in special agents performing their duties. Responses to this notice will be evaluated by the Government. A determination by the Government not to award this contract action pursuant to the authority cited based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability and respond to the requirement no later than 11 AM EST, August 26, 2021. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to award this contract pursuant to Federal Supply Schedule procedures.
