The Falcon scanners are currently being used by the IRS CI Data Processing System and provides the necessary equipment (Assist Tower and Conveyor systems) which are essential to the needs to the organization and for the continuity of efficient scanning operations and as a logical follow-on to the previous requirement (i.e. 205AE9-19-P-00301). These Falcon scanners allow for numerous external hardware additions and software programming modifications that significantly increase their effectiveness in the completion of the various Data Processing Center’s (DPS) scanning projects. The OPEX Falcon Scanners uses propriety and patented software (OPEX CertainScan) that is used in these scanners and support the services specifically required for this procurement. This equipment and software are proprietary to OPEX, there are no other re-sellers available The proposed procurement is made under the authority granted under FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
