REQUEST FOR INFORMATION Internal Revenue Service – Criminal Investigation (CI) The Office of Business Solutions Acquisition, Streamlined Acquisitions & Interagency Agreement Section (OS:PR:B:A:B) is in support of the Internal Revenue Service – Criminal Investigation (CI) is seeking information regarding Covert Antennas for Law Enforcement Vehicles. The Serial & Part numbers are included. ** This announcement is issued for the purposes prescribed in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 10 "Market Research” and is for informational and acquisition planning purposes only. This announcement is not a request for quote (RFQ)/request for proposal (RFP) and a formal solicitation is not available currently. If a formal RFQ/RFP is released, its contents may differ from the information contained in this announcement. This announcement does not constitute a commitment by the government to issue an RFQ/RFP, contract, or order. The government will not pay for any effort expended or any material provided in response to this announcement, nor will the government return any data provided. The government may also use information received to better define their requirements. ** This is a Request for Information (RFI). This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, request for bids or quotations, nor, a promise to issue a solicitation in the future. The purpose of this RFI is for the Government to obtain knowledge and information for project planning purposes only. The Government has interest in and is seeking information regarding the capability of providing Covert Antennas for law enforcement vehicles to support the Government's program office. Do Not Submit any Proposals/Offers in response to this Notice. This Notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract or otherwise pay for the information provided in response. All costs associated with responding to this Notice are solely at the responding party's expense. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate. Further, the Government may contact the vendor for additional information regarding the information submitted as part of this market research effort. Questions regarding this announcement shall be submitted in writing by e-mail to the Contract Specialist, Vivian.D.Daniels@irs.gov email address. Verbal questions will NOT be accepted. Questions will be answered by posting answers to Vivian.D.Daniels@irs.gov; accordingly, questions shall NOT contain proprietary or classified information. The Government does not guarantee that questions received after May 12, 2020, 12:00 PM EST will be answered. Responses in Microsoft Office Word compatible format are due no later than May 12, 2020, 12:00 EST. Responses shall be limited to 5 pages and submitted via e-mail only to Vivian.D.Daniels@irs.gov. Proprietary information, if any, should be minimized and MUST BE CLEARLY MARKED. To aid the Government, please segregate proprietary information. Please be advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned. Vendors shall reference “RFI IRS Covert Antennas for Law Enforcement Vehicles.” in the subject line of their response as well as in the subject line of any other e-mail correspondence referencing this notice. Company name, DUNS Number, point of contact, telephone number, and e-mail address; Business type (large business, small business, small disadvantaged business, 8(a)-certified small disadvantaged business, HUBZone small business, woman-owned small business, very small business, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business) based upon North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 334210, Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications Equipment Manufacturing.
