This is a combined synopsis/solicitation. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to award a contract to maintain a Horiba XploRA PLUS Confocal Raman Microscope to analyze inks, paper, finished currency, and similar materials. This acquisition will be issued sole source to Horiba Instruments Inc (CAGE Code: 66421). The proposed period of performance is 25 September 2024 to 24 September 2029. The applicable NAICS code is 811210. HORIBA Scientific is the sole manufacturer and exclusive distributor of all HORIBA Raman spectrometers and accessories sold in the United States. There are no other dealers, resellers or authorized service representatives in the United States. Authority for requirements is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
