This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR part 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. A. This procurement is conducted under the authority of Subpart FAR 16.504 Indefinite-Quantity contracts and Subpart FAR 16.203 Fixed Price Contracts with Economic Price Adjustments. B. This procurement is a set-aside for small business concerns. The applicable NAICS code is 325998, All Other Miscellaneous Chemical Product and Preparation Manufacturing, with a business size standard of 500 employees. C. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) has a requirement to establish a single-award Firm-Fixed Price (FFP), Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with Economic Price Adjustment, for procurement of 50% Sodium Hydroxide (Caustic Soda) solution, used as an ingredient in water-based alkaline wiping solution for currency printing presses at the BEP.
