This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12 & 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation shall not be issued. This is a small business set aside. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing’s (BEP) mission is to develop and produce United States currency notes, trusted worldwide. BEP’s vision is to be the world standard securities printer providing its customers and the public with superior products through excellence in manufacturing and innovation. The BEP also prints miscellaneous Presidential Certificates, Consular Report of Birth Abroad Certificates, United States Passports, and Citizenship Certificates as well as many other miscellaneous documents for the Pentagon, White House, Food and Drug Administration, and the Bureau of Engraving & Printing Public Sales Office. As a part of the printing process, High Speed Polar Cutters are used to cut security papers for printing aforementioned miscellaneous documents. These cutters are an essential item for the cutting of the type of paper utilized by BEP.
