This is a Request for Information (RFI) (hereinafter Notice). This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, request for bids or quotations, nor, a promise to issue a solicitation in the future. The purpose of this RFI is to obtain knowledge and information for project planning purposes only. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) has interest in, and is seeking sources capable of providing of Brand Name or Equal uniforms, equipment and alteration services for the Police Services Branch at BEP WCF Facility located in Fort Worth, Texas. Qualified Off-site vendor shall be located within one hundred (100) miles of BEP WCF facility. Western Currency Facility Bureau of Engraving and Printing 9000 Blue Mound Road Fort Worth, Texas 76131 A. The contractor shall provide Brand Name or Equal uniform items and equipment listed in Attachment 1 – Items list. • Uniform items must meet the performance specifications of the product number listed • Equipment must meet the dimensions of the brand name product and provide similar functional specifications B. The contractor shall provide the following services: • Measuring and/or sizing for uniform pants, shirts, hats, sweaters, coats, shoes, and boots • Tailoring/hemming/alterations of all uniform items include shirts, pants, sweaters and coats to include sewing on the following: Cloth Shoulder Patches Cloth Badges Rank Chevrons Rank Insignia Name Tapes Police Patch on Ball Cap Cloth Badge on Ball Cap Velcro on Name Tapes Velcro on Cloth Shoulder Patches Velcro on Cloth Badges Velcro on Rank Chevrons Velcro on Rank Insignia Velcro on Shirt for the Name Tape, Cloth Shoulder Patch, Cloth Badge, Rank Chevron and/or Rank Insignia Embroidery of BEP Badge/Name on Training Uniform NOTE: Placement diagram for uniform patches, badges, nametapes, chevrons, and insignia will be provided at time of award. All items listed will be the responsibility of the contractor to provide. Responses to this Notice should include the following: 1. All quotations submitted with “equal” products provide a matrix which correlates to the salient characteristics in the description 2. Respondent’s DUNS number, organization name, address, point of contact, and size and type of business (e.g., 8(a), HUBZone, etc) pursuant to the applicable NAICS code; 3. Identification of any GSA schedule numbers and SIN category they may possess; 4. Vendor’s technical and administrative points of contact, including names, titles, addresses, telephone and fax numbers, and e-mail addresses.] 5. Volume discounts 6. Due date for responses are no later than November 12, 2021. This Notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract or otherwise pay for the information provided in response. All costs associated with responding to this Notice are solely at the responding party's expense. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate. Further, the Government may contact the vendor for additional information regarding the information submitted as part of this market research effort. Any organization responding to this Notice should ensure that its response is complete and sufficiently detailed. Information provided will be used to assess tradeoffs and alternatives available for the potential requirement and may lead to the development of a solicitation. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract or agreement. The BEP will not be obligated to pursue any particular acquisition alternative as a result of this notice. Responses to the notice will not be returned. Not responding to this notice does not preclude participation in any future solicitation, if one is issued. No proprietary, classified, confidential, or sensitive information should be included in your response.
