This procurement action is to award a sole so... THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR BIDS, QUOTES OR PROPOSALS. At this time no solicitation exists. This notification is being posted for information purposes only. This procurement action is to award a sole source contract to KBA-Notasys for the procurement of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Spare Parts for three (3) Super Orlof Intaglio III (SOI III) presses used by BEP for currency manufacturing. All parts listed in Attachment A (Mechanical Spares) and Attachment B (Electrical Spares) are manufactured and are proprietary to KBA-NotaSys. There are no other sources that are capable of supplying the OEM spare parts other than KBA-NotaSys. BEP does not possess the required capabilities in terms of labor, machinery or materials to produce these items. Therefore, the Government has determined the need to search for outside sources to procure these OEM spare parts. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to sole-source this requirement and award a contract to KBA-NotaSys. The applicable North American Classification Code (NAICS) is 333244, Printing Machinery and Equipment. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes. If you feel that your firm / company can provide all the OEM spare parts in the attached parts list, please submit a capabilities statement by 12:00 PM EST, April 8, 2020. The decision not to compete this requirement is within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must provide clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.
