The OCC requires access to an online training library consisting of eLearning courses to ensure agency examiners have access to up-to-date bank supervision-related training. Required training must support competencies associated with commercial and consumer credit-related risks. An enterprise licensing structure of the online training tool should support up to 800 bank examiners annually, which range from entry level through commissioned examiners, as well as experienced hires. Training programs must be available on-demand, developed and updated to stay abreast with advances in technology, and available both in micro-learning (small, content-specific modules/lessons) and full competency/skill-set learning development. It is critical that the trainings’ focus is from the audit/examiner regulatory perspective.
