The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), a bureau of the United States Department of the Treasury, intends to award a sole source contract to Monument Economics Group LLC (MEG), 1530 Wilson Blvd. Suite 560 Arlington, VA 22209. The contract will result in the acquisition of expert witness services for ongoing civil litigation involving currency related trades. MEG will provide a witness who is an expert in currency trading. The expert witness will analyze currency trading data and write an expert report that provides an analysis that summarizes the respondents’ trading activity. Additionally, the expert witness will testify at both a deposition and administrative hearing on behalf of the OCC. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; a solicitation document will not be issued. All information received within 7 days after the date of this notice with pricing and sufficient technical documentation to establish a bona fide capability to meet the requirement will be considered by the OCC. A determination not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the OCC. Information received will be considered primarily for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
