The National Park Service (NPS) is amending the solicitation for applications to provide Guided Day Hiking, Guided Fishing Instruction, Guided Backpacking, Guided Photography Instruction (workshop), Guided Mountaineering, Guided Backcountry Ski Mountaineering, Guided Nordic Activities (Snowshoeing/Skiing), Guided Portering (Dunnage/Gear Transport), and Guided Pack and Saddle (Stock), visitor services through the issuance of Commercial Use Authorizations (CUA) within wilderness throughout Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. A limited number of CUAs will be authorized for a two-year period, January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2023. Amendment No. 2 does the following: Extends the solicitation to October 31, 2021; Provides updates to the Application package, including an application checklist for stock and non-stock applications; and, Requires all applications to be submitted via email to seki_cua@nps.gov. The CUA application package, including the changes noted above, is available on the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks website at https://www.nps.gov/seki/getinvolved/dobusinesswithus.htm. Complete applications for a CUA to operate in wilderness within Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. (Pacific Time) on October 31, 2021. Application submissions will only be accepted by email to seki_cua@nps.gov.
