The National Park Service (NPS) has extended the deadline for applications to provide Guided Day Hiking, Guided Fishing Instruction, Guided Backpacking, Guided Photography Instruction (workshop), Guided Mountaineering, Guided Backcountry Ski Mountaineering, Guided Nordic Activities (Snowshoeing/Skiing), Guided Portering (Dunnage/Gear Transport), and Guided Pack and Saddle (Stock) visitor services through the issuance of Commercial Use Authorizations (CUA) within wilderness throughout Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. A limited number of CUAs will be authorized for a two-year period, beginning January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2021. Applications will be accepted until October 18, 2019. The CUA application package is available on the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks website at https://www.nps.gov/seki/getinvolved/dobusinesswithus.htm (scroll to Commerical Use Authorizations section), or by calling the Commercial Services Office at (559) 565-4235 or emailing seki_concessions@nps.gov for a copy of the 2020 CUA Application and Instructions. Complete applications for a CUA to operate in wilderness within Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. PDT on October 18, 2019.
