Offered space must meet Government requirements for fire safety (includes smoke/fire alarms, fire extinguishers and carbon monoxide detectors), per the terms of the Lease. A fully serviced lease is required. The U.S. Government (National Park Service) is seeking to lease housing (three bedroom unit, unfurnished, with kitchen, washer/dryer hookups, at least two full bathrooms, heating and air cooling system, and a two car secured garage. The kitchen should include modern appliances such as a cooking range and refrigerator, living space of at least 1,200 square feet, but no more than 3,000 square feet. Lessor should also ensure routine maintenance and repairs are completed timely, and provide monthly landscape maintenance. This housing is for seasonal staff and/or volunteers. El Malpais National Monument requires the ability to lease residential unit for at least 2 years with the option of 5 years. This will allow the Park to house government and non-government employees/volunteers who currently cannot be accommodated with housing due to the lack of park housing.
