The National Park Service (NPS) is soliciting for applications to provide Single Trip Guided Climbs on either the Kautz, Emmons, or Disappointment Cleaver routes within Mount Rainier National Park through the issuance of a limited number of Commercial Use Authorizations (CUA). The NPS will issue up to fifteen (15) CUAs following a competitive selection process based on resource protection, ability to operate safely, and relevant experience offering this activity. These CUAs will be authorized for a 2-year period, beginning May 1, 2024, through September 30, 2025. The NPS issued the solicitation beginning September 1, 2023, the CUA application package is available on the Mount Rainier National Park website, via the link identified below or by calling or emailing Josh Boisvert, CUA Program Manager, at (253) 392-5424 or mora_commercial_services@nps.gov. Completed CUA application packages must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. (Pacific Time) on September 30, 2023, to be eligible for the first round of the CUA selection process. Application submissions must be submitted via email to the Commercial Services Manager at mora_commercial_use@nps.gov.
